GreenDecision’s Role in the AMIGDALA Project

Read the interview with Alex Zabeo from Green Decision (GD), partner in the AMIGDALA project, to explore their role in developing the project’s Decisional Framework. This tool leverages Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis to help decision-makers evaluate future scenarios and prioritize actions for climate neutrality.

What is the primary focus of GD in the AMIGDALA project?

GD is devoted to the design and development of AMIGDALA’s Decisional Framework. It’s a Multi Criteria Decision Analysis based system which allows decision makers to assess the projected scenarios and rank possible actions according to their preferences about the dimensions of climate neutrality.

    • How will GD ensure that the final version of the D-framework stakeholder dashboard is user-friendly and useful for the general public, and what steps are being taken to test and refine it before its public release?

GD always develops its software keeping the user experience in mind. Results of interviews and workshops with possible future end users have been considered during the design phase. Moreover, the D-framework is developed by deploying several intermediate software versions which are tested and validated by internal and external experts.

    • Can you explain how the D-framework dashboard will help stakeholders make better decisions about transformative investments and infrastructure, and how will feedback from users be incorporated into the final version?

The D-framework takes into consideration a large number of possible future scenarios given the goals and constraints selected by the user. The output set of projections is then aggregated into interesting indicators presented as statistical descriptors though clear and simple charts allowing to have a glimpse on how key decisional aspects may evolve in the future.

Users’ feedback will be collected during workshops aimed at presenting the subsequent software releases. Each request and comment will be considered and implemented.
