AMIGDALA Partners General Assembly in Laxenburg
AMIGDALA2026-06-02T14:15:47+02:00On 28–29 May 2026, the AMIGDALA consortium gathered in Laxenburg, Austria, for the project’s 5th General Assembly and External Advisory Board Meeting, hosted by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). The meeting brought together consortium partners, External Advisory Board members, and representatives from the sister project TRANSIENCE to review project progress, discuss early modelling insights, and prepare the next phase of the project.
The sessions focused on the advancement of the AMIGDALA integrated modelling framework and the development of pathways for climate-neutral, resilient, and competitive European process industries. Partners reviewed progress across modelling activities, data harmonisation, dissemination and exploitation actions, stakeholder engagement, and the development of the project’s decision-support dashboard.
Discussions also explored the first integrated model outputs and the emerging insights from different industrial transition scenarios. Partners examined how these pathways could support Europe’s climate objectives while maintaining industrial competitiveness and resilience.
Together with the External Advisory Board and TRANSIENCE representatives, the consortium discussed the transition and the importance of delivering results, but also trusted and usable for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and wider society.
The meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration between modelling experts, industry stakeholders, policymakers, and sister projects to ensure that AMIGDALA contributes meaningful and actionable pathways for Europe’s industrial transformation.
The consortium would like to thank IIASA for hosting the meeting and all partners, EAB members, and TRANSIENCE representatives for their contributions throughout the discussions.
