Policy Lab at Big Data Conference
AMIGDALA2026-03-10T16:22:26+01:00Policy Lab participated in the Big Data Conference 2025, a conference organised by Äripäev, Estonia’s leading business news company, dedicated to showcasing novel uses of data across industry, governance, and research. The event gathered more than 80 participants, including representatives from companies, public authorities, and research organisations.
Tarmo Kalvet and Marek Tiits delivered a joint presentation focused on innovative data-driven approaches to policymaking and strategic decision-making. Their talk introduced practical examples of how advanced analytics and structured data can support evidence-based governance, improve transparency, and strengthen collaboration between public institutions and stakeholders.
The presentation featured ongoing work from the AMIGDALA project, illustrating how the project develops methodologies and tools to better analyse complex socio-economic challenges. The session also highlighted how data infrastructures and analytical models can support more informed policy design and evaluation processes.
