DECHEMA’s Role in the AMIGDALA Project: Leading Data Expertise and Management for Comprehensive Modeling Support

Sabrina Müller, Research Associate at DECHEMA, partner in the AMIGDALA project, is leading the effort in data expertise and management. DECHEMA’s focus includes collecting, validating, and harmonizing data, as well as developing an online database to support the project’s modeling efforts.

What is the primary focus of DECHEMA in the AMIGDALA project?

DECHEMA leads the expertise data and data management. Our main tasks are the collection, validation and harmonization of data and setting up an online database for the modellers.

    • What strategies and methodologies will DECHEMA employ to ensure that the data structure developed effectively supports the diverse modeling approaches within the AMIGDALA project ?

We started an extensive series of interviews to identify the specific characteristics of the models used and the requirements they need from the input data, and to use these as the database’s basis.

    • How will you ensure that the data requirements and formats are harmonized across all project partners?

The interviews will form the basis for a close exchange with the modelers. As a neutral project partner who is solely responsible for data management, we assure the modelers that we will handle the data provided to us responsibly and in FAIR manner. Furthermore, technical requirements and limited use of the data due to license conditions will be questioned during the interviews. Depending on the type and right of use of the data, these are derived if necessary.
