AMIGDALA External Advisory Board Meeting
On 6 October 2025, AMIGDALA held its External Advisory Board meeting in Amsterdam, gathering leading experts from academia, industry, and policy to discuss the project’s progress and future direction.
The meeting focused on reviewing the project’s Proof of Concept, centered on the integrated model suite designed to help policymakers explore long-term industrial transition pathways. EAB members provided valuable feedback on the project’s modeling approach, assumptions, and policy relevance.
From an industrial and policy standpoint, the discussion underscored the need to capture competitiveness dynamics, geopolitical trends, and resilience strategies. The inclusion of realistic policy instruments, energy system constraints, and sectoral interdependencies was considered essential for meaningful scenario analysis.
Recommendations included expanding sectoral coverage beyond plastics, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and enhancing KPI dashboards to link industrial performance with societal outcomes.
The consortium welcomed the EAB’s insights, which will guide upcoming modeling refinements and stakeholder interactions ahead of the next project milestones.
